From Undoing to Becoming: Immigration, Identity, and Finding the Courage to Lead (up to 1.0 PDU)

Date, Time, Location: February 20, 2025 | 6:00pm – 7:00pm | Virtual
Presenter: Sherry Hite, MOT, OTR/L

This presentation will challenge the traditional narrative of doing and becoming and explore a different approach to personal development and professional success. It will deconstruct the concept of therapeutic use of self in the context of immigration, trauma, and fractured identities. Together, we will examine a journey of undoing oneself to forge new paths.

This presentation is based on Sherry Hite’s keynote of the same title given at the OTAC 2024 Annual Conference on Sunday, November 10 in conjunction with the OTAC Annual Meeting. Come be inspired by Sherry’s lived experience and her courage to persevere and in this open, safe space share your own experience as an immigrant and the challenge of professional development and leadership pursuits.

Note 1: Only the presentation portion will be recorded. The dialogue portion will not be to help create a safe space for dialogue.
Note 2: If you participate in this session the PDU is 1. The recorded portion will only be .5 PDUs.

Cost: OTAC MEMBERS ONLY – NO COST
